Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father, but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and you God.” Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord” – and that he had said these things to her.
John 20:16-18
He said her name, and in an instant she knew Him. And in that same instant the world changed forever.
She had seen Jesus. And then He sent her to tell the rest.
“I have seen the Lord.” The most excellent of news. It all started to spread when Jesus said her name.
Lord, help us listen for when You speak our names. And tune are hearts to what You call us to do next.
