“Don’t You Want Somebody to Take Care of You?” on Terrible Thanks for Asking – This episode is a different perspective on grief. Norah does such a good job telling stories, especially those that are hard to tell. This story is one of those that is hard to hear, but it so worth it and so instructional about the different types of grief.
“Post-Traumatic Growth” on Pantsuit Politics – What a year this has been. In this episode, Sarah and Beth review some of what has made these past 12-months so difficult, and they spend time learning about how to move in and forward from a disaster. This was really helpful as we begin to consider starting to round the corner on the pandemic.
Book
“The First Conspiracy” by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch – Warning: I’m a bit of a history geek and I’m about to show it. I have been a fan of Brad Meltzer’s books for some time. He does a great job with political thrillers. This book is a thriller…and it is apparently true. More like a novel than history book, Meltzer and Mensch explore the little known fact that there appears to have been a very real and detailed plot by Loyalists in the American colonies to assassinate George Washington. If you like the AMC show Turn, here’s the book for you. And if you are a student of the Revolutionary War, you may learn a thing or two in this one.
