Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Weariness during this time of year is another level of tired. All the celebrations. All the commitments. And let’s not forget the schoolwork crammed into 3 weeks so we can have a blessed week off for Turkey day.
Tonight, we are tired. And yes, I am aware it is only – heaven help it – Monday. So, I’m adjusting my gaze on the harvest I pray to reap tonight, maybe tomorrow, and, if I stretch, later this week.
Sometimes the harvest in front is us is mastering mean, mode, range, and probability. Other times, the harvest is answering, “Mom, what does the word ‘spittoon’ mean?”
There’s good in there somewhere, I’m sure of it.
